“I always go by personal recommendation first. Word of mouth and reputation in business is invaluable,” says Mike Caira, managing director of Berkshire-based Zero Three Exhibitions. “If I am in need of a particular service, I ask my colleagues and friends for recommendations.”

It’s an ethos that has served Mr Caira well, and as such, he would be happy to recommend Fish Partnership, and already has, as they have “been good to us”.

When Zero Three Exhibitions set up just over six years ago, they were recommended an accountant in Reading. Within two months, Fish Partnership had inherited the exhibition design and build company, when the previous accountant passed his business to them on retirement.

“The transfer was seamless,” says Mr Caira. “I have stayed with the Fish Partnership ever since as I have never had a reason to grumble and the partner Paul Laird has known us as a company from the start.”

Fish Partnership takes care of the year ends, tax liability, monthly PAYE and personal tax returns, as well as providing “good” advice.

Paul also assisted Mr Caira when he got divorced. As well as recommending the solicitor that Mr Caira used, Paul also provided a valuation of the company, dealt with the required paperwork, and sent letters to the solicitor.

“Paul is usually pretty good on returning phone calls and answering queries by email or phone, and provides good advice. The staff at Fish Partnership seem to be well appointed as they are in tune with what we do.”
