Sanjo Gems

John Heath has spent his working life in the jewellery trade, much of it at the helm of Sanjo Gems.

The business, a manufacturing jeweller and diamond merchant that sells mainly to private clients, is based just a couple of streets away from London’s legendary Hatton Garden, the best-known name in the trade.

For almost 30 years, John has turned to Fish Partnership for help and advice in running Sanjo Gems. He knew Brian Fish when he worked at another accountancy practice in Slough and “migrated”, as he puts it, when Brian set up on his own.

He has since been advised by Roger Prew, now retired as a partner, and today works most closely with partner Paul Laird and senior audit manager Malcolm Benham.

Over the years, Fish Partnership has advised on wide-ranging issues, with current services including annual accounts, payroll and tax returns. John also particularly appreciated the support and advice he received when Sanjo Gems was targeted for a tax enquiry that came “out of the blue”.
