Fish Partnership has passed with flying colours when it comes to the service they provide to a local school. Cressex Community School caters to 600 pupils between the ages of 11 and 18. Their finance manager Judy Herdman deals with all things financial on the school’s behalf, including appointing an external accountancy firm to audit the school fund accounts.

The school fund account is classified as a charity and is therefore legally required to be audited annually. Kept separate from the main school budget, the incoming funds include monies raised by the pupils’ fundraising activities, and the outgoings include donations to charities and school trips. Fish Partnership has been auditing this account for 4 years.

“They have always been pleasant to work with and extremely helpful,” says Judy. “Tabitha from Fish Partnership passes the school on her way to work, so she pops in to collect the paperwork that I’ve prepared, and then calls me if she has any queries.
