Companies Fishing for Answers Invited to Seminar

The Companies Act 2006 is the longest piece of legislation ever passed by parliament.  The Act affects every company in the UK, regardless of size.  With implementation of the Act having begun in January 2007, some sections are already in force, with the remainder due to come into force in October 2009.

To help companies take the necessary steps to stay compliant with the legislation, High Wycombe based accountants Fish Partnership have teamed up with the Royal Bank of Scotland and Reynolds Parry Jones Solicitors to present a seminar on the implications of the Companies Act.

The seminar will cover many aspects of the Companies Act including directors’ duties, size criteria of small and medium sized companies and the purchase of a company’s own shares.  There will also be a question and answer session during which delegates can raise specific issues with the panel.

The seminar will take place on Tuesday 23rd September 2008 between 9:15 and 11:00 am at Bellhouse hotel, Oxford Road, Beaconsfield.  For more information contact Fish Partnership’s Paul Laird on 01628 527956 or e-mail paull@fishpartnership.co.uk
