Accountants Celebrate Colleague’s Long Service
A long-serving member of staff at High Wycombe-based accountants Fish Partnership has clocked up a significant milestone at the firm.
Terry Setford has just celebrated 25 years’ service at the practice where her wide-ranging office manager-style role covers everything from setting up computer databases to health and safety responsibilities and ordering stationery to ensuring that the lawns are cut regularly.
Her current service is the second time she has worked at Fish Partnership. She originally joined at 17 as a receptionist but left aged 20 for another position.
After a break of several years, she returned in 1983 in what was supposed to be a temporary role that included supporting the implementation of a new computer system, and has remained ever since, with her role developing and expanding over the years.
Terry said: “25 years is a long time to stay in a job but the role suits me. I cover everything involved in running the office – you could call me an administrator, office manager or facilities manager, although I do say that I am actually the “if no-one knows what to do with it person””
Martin Sheehy, partner at Fish Partnership, said: “People like Terry are the glue that hold the office together and we really value all that she has done for the firm over the years. This kind of staff continuity is a real asset for us as a practice and for our clients.
