Leading Local Accountant Moves to New Role
After a successful career in public practice spanning more than 30 years, one of the partners of the High Wycombe based accountancy firm Fish Partnership, has retired to take up a role as financial director of travel guide publishers, Bradt Travel Guides Ltd.
Peter Jay joined the practice in 1976 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1979. He was made partner in 1985.
Peter preferred his retirement to be a quiet affair, with no huge celebration to mark the end of his remarkable career in public practice. This decision was also swayed by the fact Peter is not making an entirely clean break, but is continuing work with Fish Partnership in a consultancy capacity.
Peter comments: “I feel very fortunate at this stage in my career to have the opportunity to move into commerce and join a successful company at an exciting point in its development. However I will miss the firm very much. Over the years I have formed close relationships with my colleagues and my clients, many of whom I have seen grow into hugely successful businesses. I am therefore very pleased to be able to continue working with Fish Partnership and our clients for the time being.”
Martin Sheehy adds: “Peter has been a valued and cherished member of Fish Partnership and will be missed by his colleagues and clients alike. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Peter for everything he has contributed over the years.”
