Moonwalking with a Difference
An employee at High Wycombe based accountancy firm Fish Partnership LLP has raised nearly £400 for charity after completing a marathon event.
However these 26 .2 miles around London were completed under the cover of darkness, and with a strict " power walking only" rule. Plus, the unique dress code for the event consisted of wearing a decorated bra over outerwear in recognition of breast cancer.
The London Playtex Moonwalk took place on 19 May 2007 to raise money for breast cancer charities. Administrator Terry Setford completed the event, for the third consecutive year, in an impressive six hours and ten minutes.
Terry comments: "This is now the third time I’ve taken part in the Moonwalk and I reduced my time this year by 20 minutes so I am really very pleased. Taking place over night makes the walk really unusual and different. Although it’s great fun I think this will be my last time!"
Terry is currently gathering in her sponsorship, including a donation from Fish Partnership.
