Local Accountant Appointed as Charity Treasurer

A High Wycombe based accountant has been appointed as the new treasurer for the Berkshire Masonic Charity.

Paul Laird, a partner with The Fish Partnership accountancy practice, has been a Mason for more than a decade and his new appointment comes following a formal nomination.

The Berkshire Masonic Charity works to provide grants and funding to local charities and good causes, provided through a process of applications from organisations or individuals.

During his three year appointment, Paul will be responsible for keeping all the charity’s accounting records and producing Financial Statements via the charity’s independent auditor.

Paul comments: "Having been involved with the Masons for so long I am delighted to have been chosen as the next Treasurer. This appointment will allow me to continue to contribute to the charity’s good work while also utilising my accounting skills.

"Since I have been involved in Masonary, I have seen the Berkshire Masonic Charity help with some very good causes. I look forward to being involved in many more worthwhile projects over the next three years and beyond."
